The purpose of this Healthcare Content Moderation and Compliance Policy is to ensure that all content published, shared, or made accessible via RealHealth’s platform complies with applicable U.S. healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and community guidelines. This policy outlines RealHealth’s approach to reviewing, approving, moderating, and removing content related to health and wellness.

This policy applies to all content types across the RealHealth platform including:
Articles, blog posts, videos, and infographics
User-generated content (UGC) such as reviews and forum posts
AI-generated responses and health assistants
Marketing and promotional content
Provider and treatment information
3. Governing Laws and Standards
RealHealth ensures compliance with the following laws and standards:
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Truth in Advertising
U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Guidelines for health claims
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) (if applicable)
State-specific health content laws and telehealth regulations
4. Content Review & Approval Process
All health-related content is subject to a multi-level moderation process, which includes:
a. Medical Accuracy Review
Content is reviewed by licensed healthcare professionals or medical editors for clinical accuracy.
AI-generated content is verified for safety disclaimers and references to reputable sources (e.g., CDC, NIH, Mayo Clinic).
b. Compliance & Legal Review
Claims related to diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or cure are vetted under FDA and FTC guidelines.
All testimonials and user reviews are reviewed for authenticity and compliance with FTC disclosure rules.
c. Privacy Safeguards
No Protected Health Information (PHI) is published without explicit consent.
HIPAA-compliant practices are followed to anonymize patient data and interactions.
5. User-Generated Content (UGC) Policy
UGC is monitored both manually and via automated moderation tools.
RealHealth reserves the right to remove any content that:
Promotes unverified medical treatments or misinformation
Contains harmful, discriminatory, or abusive language
Violates user privacy or HIPAA regulations
Conflicts with RealHealth’s brand, values, or public health guidance
6. AI Content Compliance
AI-generated responses are continuously monitored using feedback loops and flagged for human moderation when necessary.
All AI-generated medical content includes disclaimers stating it does not constitute medical advice and must be verified with a licensed healthcare professional.
7. Data Security & User Privacy
All health-related user data is stored and processed in compliance with HIPAA and applicable data protection laws.
Users have the right to request data deletion, correction, or restriction in accordance with RealHealth’s [Privacy Policy].
8. Reporting and Escalation
Users and partners can report content violations via the Content Report Form or email us at compliance@realhealth.ai.
Violations are escalated to RealHealth’s Content Governance Team for review within 48 hours.
9. Enforcement and Penalties
Violations of this policy may result in:

Suspension or termination of user accounts
Legal action in cases of fraudulent or malicious intent
